Perhaps an hour-long nap is a bit much for you. For many years, I endeavored to keep my naps down to around 20 minutes, and that seemed to have been enough for the most part to help me feel refreshed during the midday.

I know the feeling about wanting to take a long nap, though. For some reason, I couldn't get to sleep until late last night, but I woke up at 7:00 as usual… so I thought I'd "catch up" with a slightly longer nap today. Unfortunately, there is some demolition work going on a few houses down, which was shaking the house a few times a minute and causing a ruckus that made it impossible to sleep, even with all the windows closed. Demolition work can really be frustrating for the neighbors in Japan, and especially in areas where the houses are built on less than solid ground…
