@sumudu Kagi is ad-free, and seems to return more useful search results in general when you are researching a topic. It has a “Lens” feature that a gives you a lot more control over searching for academic research, Usenet archives, Fediverse forums and so forth. It is a paid search product, but so far I’ve found that it often gives more useful results right away to programming questions, for instance. Your mileage may vary. There’s a one-month free trial.
